<Dutch House> for The Boston Globe

I illustrated for the book section of the Boston Globe for the book titled in ‘The Dutch House’ by Ann Patchett.
I tried to show The Dutch house which is more than a house and plays a central role in inhabitants’ lives.
It jumps into pieces like Danny and Maeves’ memories that is not linear.
Above these pieces, there are 2 main characters, Danny and Maeve, who have a hole in their chest.
It means the absence of their mother and also means the absence of the Dutch house, too.
Overall, I tried to show the impossibility of seeing
the past as it actually was in a visual way.
